Five years after the launch of the first hybrid-power Lexus, hybrid models have now racked-up more than nine billion kilometers on roads throughout the world.

That is the equivalent of 224,000 circumnavigations of the planet. 

It’s safe to say hybrid technology for luxury vehicles has caught on.

“Five years ago Lexus’ rivals thought hybrid vehicles were just a science experiment, but today those same companies are scrambling to release their own hybrid-power vehicles,” revealed Lexus Australia Chief Executive, Tony Cramb.

Lexus offers hybrid vehicles in four models lines – LS, GS, RX and HS.

Next year, Lexus will roll-out a new hybrid addition – the CT 200h.
