Real or fake? That is often the question that is asked whenever the internet delivers us a hoverboard.
Well according to the team at Lexus, this hoverboard is real and will undertake testing in Barcelona, Spain, over the coming weeks.
The Lexus hoverboard uses magnetic levitation to achieve frictionless movement, incorporating features like liquid nitrogen cooled superconductors and permanent magnets.
Mark Templin Lexus International executive vice president said the new hoverboard exemplified Lexus' commitment to innovation in design and engineering.
"At Lexus, we constantly challenge ourselves and our partners to push the boundaries of what is possible," Mr Templin said. "That determination, combined with our passion and expertise for design and innovation, is what led us to take on the hoverboard project.
"It's the perfect example of the amazing things that can be achieved when you combine technology, design and imagination."
