A cracking November for Lexus with the launch of RC Coupe, the compact SUV concept as well as the updated CT 200h at the Tokyo Motor Show and now comes news of updates for the slick GS sedan.
Headlining the GS update is a new hybrid model – the GS 300h. Starting at $79,000 the GS 350h joins the existing GS 450h to provide a two-pronged hybrid range for the GS line.
Lexus GS 300h shares its 164kW 2.5-litre, four-cylinder hybrid engine with the IS 300h sedan. With combined cycle fuel consumption of 5.2l/100kms, the newcomer is most fuel-efficient of the Lexus GS model range.
In other changes, Lexus GS 350 scores a new eight-speed transmission, all Sports Luxury models add Lane Keep Assist (optional on GS 350 and GS 450h F Sport), the head-up display has been boosted and now projects navigation, audio and road speed information and Sport Luxury variants gain new 19-inch alloy wheels and standard LED fog lights).
