As part of the 2011 model year upgrades, Kia’s clever and funky Soul has secured standard electronic stability control and so Australia’s ANCAP has boosted its safety rating to the maximum five-stars.

The Soul model range has also changed. Now there are two models – Soul (starting at $20,990) and the Soul+ (priced from $23,190).

Soul+ scores new telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel plus most of the features included in the previous Soul3 – including 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, leather steering wheel and gear lever and height adjustment for the drivers’ seat.

“The acknowledgement by ANCAP that Soul is now one of the safest cars in Australia is a worthy recognition of Kia’s commitment to safety,” explained Tony Barlow, Kia Australia’s Chief Operating Officer
