Jaguar Offers Nurburgring Laps In F-Type SVR

Jaguar is now offering sports car enthusiasts (i.e anyone) the chance to ride shotgun around the fearsome Nurburgring Nordschliefe track in Germany in the new all-wheel drive F-Type SVR Coupe.

By going to this web page, those interested can book their slot to be taken around the 20.83km circuit typically referred to as the ‘Green Hell’, an experience that’s being launched alongside the ‘Jaguar Co-Pilot Nordschliefe’ programme.

They will also be one of the first to experience the new F-Type SVR, Jaguar’s most powerful car ever launched, able to reach 100km/h from rest in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 322km/h.

In addition to the significant weight reduction, all-wheel drive system, as well as other handling tuning and aerodynamic wizardry, the F-Type SVR’s title come from its 423kW/700Nm supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine.

Of course, the Nurburgring has its share of tragedies, and despite it being open to the public, remains one of the world’s most dangerous and challenging tracks. As such, those being taken around in a flying lap must be given a leg up over the standard car.

Jaguar will fit the F-Type SVRs tasked with lapping the Nurburgring under the Jaguar Co-Pilot programme with Recaro Racing seats with six-point harnesses as well as a standard roll cage.
