And they’ve added smartphone mirroring across the range.
In 6-months time, British luxury marque Jaguar will offer on our shores no less than two special-edition models of their popular F-Pace SUV. The two special editions cars, dubbed the 300 Sport and the Chequered Flag, will be coming in at $93,015 and $85,105 before on-road costs respectively.
We’ll start with the Chequered Flag, which is based on the R-Sport trim offered locally. It’s available in either white, black, or grey, and comes as standard with a sports front bumper and gloss-black applied to the fender vents, grille, and roof rails. And when you step inside, you get leather upholstery, the Touch Pro infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, aluminium trim, Meridian audio system, and 10-way electrically-adjustable seats.
And for the Chequered Flag, buyers will be able to choose between a trio of 2.0-litre AWD setups: A 184kW Ingenium turbo-petrol, or diesels in either 132kW or 177kW flavours.
Spend more money and step into a 300 Sport, and you’ll get a slightly different experience. There are ‘300 Sport’ badges on the bum and fenders, and you get a grille, window trim, and wing mirror caps finished in satin-grey, which certainly contrasts against the Yulong White, Indus Silver, or Santorini Black that you can get your F-Pace 300 Sport in.
But when you sit in the drivers’ seat, you’ll be able to enjoy the 14-way electrically-adjustable front seats, a Meridian audio system, a Touch Pro Navigation MMI system, and a digital instrument cluster. If you want more, you can option on things like 18-way adjustable front pews, seat heating (for all 5 seats), adaptive suspension, and intelligent cruise control.
The F-Pace 300 Sport can be had in two flavours: A 221kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, or a 221kW/700Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6. The petrol hits 100k/h in 6.1-seconds while the diesel does it in 6.4-seconds, while the top speeds are 233km/h and 241km/h respectively.
