Australian enthusiasts will be counting the sleeps until the awesome BMW M2 Coupe arrives downunder – but at this stage the date hasn’t been finalised.
With a new twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine delivering 272kW/465Nm (500Nm on overboost) and driving the rear wheels via an ‘M’ dual-clutch seven-speed transmission, the M2 Coupe covers zero to 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds.
Combined-cycle fuel consumption scores 7.9l/100kms.
But it’s the looks which got our attention – check-out the massively blistered front and rear fenders to accommodate the wider track and 19-inch alloy wheels.
There’s also a bootlip spoiler and unique ‘M’ bumpers.
Underneath are lightweight aluminium axles, the Active M differential and massive ‘M’ brakes with blue-painted calipers.
Inside is the usual ‘M’ sports/luxury and plenty of technology.
File this one under ‘Y’ for ‘Yes Please!’
