Isuzu Ute didn’t hold back with 2010 changes to the D-MAX ute – new colours, new exteriors, an automatic transmission, cruise control, new alloy wheels…the list goes on.
High-Series LS-U 4x4 and LS 4x2 are the most changed with new double-spoke alloy wheels and a new-design chrome grille with a prominent central cross bar and ‘sabre tooth’ details.
Space Cab models move to four seats with twin rear ‘jump’ seats featuring multiple folding modes.
SX variants gain five-speed intermittent wipers plus arch flares and 16-inch wheels for the 4x4 high-ride suspension.
The four-speed automatic transmission has always been optionally available with LS, LS-M and LS-U models, but is now available with mid-spec SX models (as well as cruise control).
Inside is new trim and revised instrumentation with better graphics.
D-MAX is definitely worth a look is your shopping for utes. You’ll be surprised at the abundant tray length and three-tonne towing capacity (4x4 models) just for starters.
Pricing starts at $25,100
