Hyundai Debuts High-Performance ‘N’ Sub-Brand, Sports Car Concept In Frankfurt

It’s a massive Frankfurt Motor Show for Hyundai and the Korean brand seeks to inject some sporty passion.

First-up there’s a mid-engine sports car concept called the RM15.

Power comes from a 220kW 2.0-liyte engine which Hyundai says is under development for a range of future models.

Then there is the first showing of the all-new i20 WRC machine.

Based on the next generation i20, this is the vehicle to be used by Hyundai’s factory team in next year’s World Rally Championship.

But  perhaps the best news for local Hyundai fans will be the launch of the high-performance ‘N’ sub-brand (you may have noticed the ‘N’ logos for the last two years on the WRC rally cars).

Hyundai says we should anticipate future performance-oriented and race-track-capable models thanks to its ‘N’ team.

Stretching the ‘N’ concept to the max will be the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo for PlayStation’s Gran Turismo video game series.
