Holden Previews Fresh-Faced Colorado Prior To Bangkok Debut

Holden will be bringing a refreshed Colorado ute to the Bangkok Motor Show next week, and for fun, they’ve teased what they’ll be showing off with the requisite amounts of shadow and odd framing.

We can clearly see that the vehicle in the teaser image is a ways away from a being production-worthy, with a plethora of bits and angular whatnots adorning the exterior – even a snorkel! Typical Motor Show fluff.

Despite all this, one can easily stip away much of the superfluity and, given a few squints, are able to make out an updated Colorado hiding underneath. Even some measure of uniform design changes that may find its way across other Holden models.

Just like Ford’s Ranger, the Colorado is also built in Thailand, and the imminent release of this facelifted version could be interpreted as a direct reaction to Ford’s recently updated ute.

No indication as to whether powertrain updates are on the agenda this time around, to expect the 2.8-litre 147kW/500Nm turbodiesel to make a return along with the six-speed torque converter automatic.

The fresh-faced Holden Colorado is expected to hit showrooms in Australia toward the tail end of 2016, most likely October or November.
