Ford Ranger Awarded EuroNCAP Five-Star Safety Rating

For the first time in its history, EuroNCAP has awarded a five-star safety rating to pickup (ute) - the all-new Ford Ranger designed and engineered and developed by Ford Australia for the global market.

Ford Ranger scored 81 per-cent for pedestrian protection - the highest rating of any vehicle ever tested by EuroNCAP. An overall the Aussie-developed Ranger was awarded 89 per cent.

EuroNCAP - not prone to hype things up - used the terms ‘remarkable’ and ‘impressive’ when describing the Ford Ranger’s crash test results.

“Vehicle safety is a core value at Ford Motor Company and these independent test results confirm that not only is Ranger the highest rated vehicle in its class, it is also one of the highest rated vehicles ever assessed by a NCAP,” explained Stephen Odell, CEO of Ford Europe.

Ford Ranger is now on sale at Ford dealerships throughout Australia.
