Ford customers can now book a free loan car to drive while their vehicle is in a dealership for scheduled servicing.
Of course service ‘loaners’ aren’t new – we recall getting one three years ago when we owned a Toyota Yaris - so it’s curious why Ford claims its program is “an Australian-first initiative”.
Nevertheless it is true Ford is lifting its customer satisfaction game as it transforms into a full-line importer.
It’s called the Ford Ownership Experience and more than 80 per-cent of dealers (including all those in Sydney and Melbourne) have signed-up.
“As we roll out even more stylish, innovative vehicles, we are investing heavily to transform our customer experience so people who fall in love with our vehicles will stay in love with them for many years,” explained Ford Australia’s marketing boss Graeme Whickman.
