2011 was the centenary year for Ford of Britain and the company celebrated where it matters most – on the sales charts.
For the 35th consecutive year, last year Ford was the number one automotive brand in the UK with sales of 265,894 vehicles.
In 2011 UK commercial vehicle sales, Ford stretched its unbroken streak of market leadership to 46 years with total sales of 71,607 vehicles.
Ford Fiesta was the number one, best-selling car model in the UK last year with sales of 96,112.
Total new cars in the UK last year were 1,941,253 – that’s 4.4 per-cent down on 2010.
