The move, effective from the end of this year will cause no impact on FPV customers but will see development and marketing of FPV vehicles shift in-house to the Ford Australia operations in Campbellfield and Geelong.

FPV engines will now be produced at the Ford engine plant in Geelong and the vehicle will be produced at Ford’s plant in Campbellfield.

FPV dealers will continue to sell and service FPV vehicles so customers will see no change in service.

“Although this segment of the market is relatively niche, it is an important part of Ford’s performance history and DNA. Both partners have worked hard to ensure the FPV brand can continue to thrive in Australia post the change to our current arrangements,” explained Ford Australia chief Bob Graziano.
