Just before Christmas Carshowroom.com.au was part of a massive global launch event for the all-new Ford Mustang (the Australian chapter was in Sydney). And, as we know, the latest version of Ford’s iconic muscle car won’t be confined to North American sales and will be part of Ford Australia’s future lineup.
But the historic first 2015 Mustang to roll-off the assembly line has been sold for $US300,000 at the Barret-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
North Texas Ford dealer and car collector Sam Pack ‘ponied-up’ (no pun intended) the ‘300-large’ to secure the first all-new Mustang and Ford will donate the funds to diabetes charity JDRF.
Ford has partnered with LDRF since 1983 and its charity vehicle sales have raised more the $3.5-million.
