To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the model, BMW has launched a celebratory version of the M5 sedan called ’30 Jahre M5’ (30 years of the M5) which is the most powerful so far.
With 441kW/700Nm with ’30 Jahre M5’ is not only the most powerful M5 to date it is also the most powerful series production model to be manufactured by BMW.
Performance is in the supercar league with zero to 100km/h rated at 3.9 seconds.
Apart from the tweaked turbocharged 4.4-litre engine, essentially, the ’30 Jahre M5’ runs as standard the mods included in the previous Competition Package. This means 10mm lower ride height, firmer spring/damper settings, Active M Differential, M Dynamic Mode for the DSC and M-specific calibration for the Servotronic steering.
The BMW M5 ’30 Jahre M5’ is exclusively painted in Frozen dark Silver Metallic with the kidney grille, door handles and twin exhaust tailpipes in black chrome.
Inside its black leather and Alcantara with the ’30 Jahre M5’ logo on the seat headrests and door sills and a 16-speaker audio system from either Harman Kardon or Bang & Olufsen (customer’s choice).
Only 300 examples are being produced for the worldwide market and each comes with its own numbered badge. BMW Australia
