BMW’s excellent 2 Series Coupe range has been buoyed by the launch of the high-performance 228i model priced at $64,400.
Powered by the 180kW/350Nm 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo engine, the BMW 228i spirnts from zero to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds yet is capable of returning combined-cycle fuel consumption of 6.3l/100kms.
Standard specifications are impressive – Dakota leather upholstery, ‘Business’ satellite navigation, 18-inch alloy wheels, Variable Sport Steering, Bi-Xenon headlights and front/rear park distance control just to name a few.
The 228i slots-in between the 220d, 220i and range-topping M2356i to give BMW some impressive artillery in this specialized segment.
