Audi has launched the exotic S6 sedan and S7 Sportback.
Powered by the German’s stunning 309kW/550Nm 4.0-litre biturbo V8 petrol engine driving all via Audi’s S tronic automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel-drive system, the S6 sedan is priced at $168,900 and the S7 Sportback carries a $179,900 sticker.
The all-new S6 is in fact the fastest S6 so far (eclipsing the previous V10-powered beast) – zero to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds. And the Sportback breaks new ground as it’s the first S7 model (and it’s just marginally slower at 4.7 seconds for zero to 100km/h).
Of course Audi technology goes beyond just scintillating performance and with cylinder deactivation shutting down four cylinders under light loads, both deliver combined cycle fuel consumption of 9.6l/100kms.
Both ride on adaptive air suspension and superb 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and inside feature Valcona leather S Sport front seats and digital TV reception.
Audi Australia will import just 50 of each model.
