Mercedes-Benz’ astonishingly good CLA sedan lineup welcomes two addition models with the launch of the all-wheel-drive CLA 250 Sport and diesel-powered 200 CDI.
Every Mercedes-Benz CLA (and their hatchback A-Class siblings are crackers and the range-topping CLA 45 AMG and A 45 AMG vehicles were simply two of the best cars we drove in late 2013. And buyers have heeded our advice with Mercedes-Benz Australia selling around 1000 CLAs already.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 CDI arrives next month and employs the 100kW/300Nm 1.8-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel offering combined-cycle fuel consumption of just 4.7l/100kms. Equipment levels are impressive with standard kit including 18-inch alloy wheels, Thermotronic, a reversing camera and Becker Map Pilot satellite navigation.
Due for arrival in July and featuring the 155kW/350Nm 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine driving all four wheels via Benz’ 4MATIC system, the sporty CLA 250 Sport boasts a heap of extras including heated electric sports seats, ‘Comand’ Navigation, Harmon Kardon audio and some AMG goodies in the form of the AMG Driver’s Package, AMG Night Package and AMG Performance Steering Wheel.
