Toyota and Lexus Australia have moved fast to prevent uninformed local media jumping onto the latest international recall action.
Specifically, the recall just announced involves only left-hand-drive vehicles.
Australia is a right-hand-drive market.
The international recall centers on the floor carpet cover, plastic pad and all weather floor mat designed for left-hand-drive vehicles not sold in Australia.
Just to be on the safe side, Toyota and Lexus have inspected some local vehicles to confirm the conditions do not affect right-hand-drive vehicles.
