Audi has completed the lineup of its slick A1 compact model with the addition of five-door Sportback models.
Changes in the engine lineup too with the introduction of a 63kW/160Nm 1.2-litre petrol powerplant. There’s also a 90kW/200Nm 1.4-litre petrol, while diesel power is available in the form of a 66kW 1.6-litre TDI.
All offer fuel consumption below 6.0l/100kms (1.6 TDI down to 3.8l/100kms).
Priced from $26,500 (A1 Sportback 1.2 TFSI Attraction) the A1 Sportback lineup provides the most price-competitive Audi model ever – very enticing for compact car buyers.
Three model grades – ‘Attraction’ (for versatility), ‘Ambition’ (comfort) and Sport. But, as you would expect from Audi, equipment levels across the range are impressive with standard inclusions such as a folding 6.5-inch screen, eight-speaker audio with Bluetooth music streaming, cruise control, leather sports steering wheel and automatic headlights and wipers.
Five-door models boost luggage capacity to 920-litres (rear seat folded).
The new Audi A1 lineup is available in 12 exterior colours with three contrasting roof options.

The progressive new Sportback variant is expected to find favour with Australian buyers thanks to the versatility of easy access to the rear seats as an additional feature of a great compact premium vehicle.”
