Audi’s funky A1 hatchback range has been joined by a ‘muscly’ brother – the high performance A1 Quattro.
Just 333 Audi A1 quattro models are slated for production, but sadly they’re all left-hand-drive and none will be heading tis way.
Under the bonnet is Audi’s 188kW/350Nm, turbocharged 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine, driving all four wheels via a six-speed transmission.
Suspension and steering is tauter and more precise than regular Audi A1 models.
On the outside, the Audi A1 quattro boasts a unique, sporty look. The exclusive paint colour is ‘Glacier White’ with contrasting black and red for the roof and headlight surrounds. The newcomer runs 18-inch alloy wheels finished in matching ‘Glacier White’.
Inside are ‘S’ sports seats in black Nappa leather with re stitching, a flat-bottom leather-trimmed steering wheel, upgraded instruments and aluminium highlights.
