Korean brand SsangYong threw the covers from its much-improved all-new Stavic (Rodius in Europe) at the Geneva Motor Show.
Styling takes a big step forward with the all-new SsangYong Stavic, while still a unique look, now much more mainstream and pleasing to the eye.
The chassis is also all-new – a multi-link rear end affording much better driving dynamics.
Under the bonnet is SsangYong’s 1.0-litre turbo-diesel with 115kW on-tap. Drive is via a six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic which is sourced from Mercedes-Benz.
The appeal of the current Stavic has always been its space – comfortable seating for seven plus massive luggage space. Thanks to a 3.0-metre wheelbase the all-new model continues the trend. With less than seven people on-board, the second row seats can be folded and used as tables (a feature family buyers will appreciate).
No word yet from Australian SsangYong agent Ateco Automotive on local plans.
