Lotus says the 3-Eleven – its fastest and most expensive production car to-date – heralds a new generation of high performance sports car from its Norwich facility.
The Lotus 3-Eleven is available in two versions for road or race and the open-cockpit design with an all-new lightweight body is powered by a revised version of the Toyota-derived supercharged V6 engine we know from the Lotus Evora offering 336kW of power and 450Nm of torque.
Lotus kits the race version with a more aggressive aero kit, sequential gearbox and race seat with a six-point harness.
With a dry weight under 900kgs the race version of the Lotus 3-Eleven zips through zero to 100km/h in under three seconds and no holds the lap record at Lotus’ Hethel test track of 1 min 22 secs.
The 3-Eleven is composed of a composite bodyshell with extruded and bonded aluminium sections for the chassis and the road version’s roll-cage incorporates twin side bars for impact protection while the race car version has additional bars to suit FIA motorsport regulations.
