Isuzu Ute has revealed the all-new D-MAX range in Thailand, ahead of Australia sales early next year.
The new generation Isuzu D-MAX ute debuts bold new styling – signifying the model’s departure from the current version which was shared with Holden as the Colorado.
Clearly the sleek, new exterior design delivers a more aggressive on-road presence and Isuzu says we should expect the larger exterior (wheelbase up to 3095mm) to also deliver more space inside and – most importantly – more cargo space. The chassis is an improved ladder frame design.
The interior of the all-new Isuzu D-MAX is much more modern than the current generation and includes upgraded audio systems with Bluetooth connectivity.
Performance is up too – the all-new Isuzu D-MAX retains the four cylinder, three-litre diesel engine but with 130kW/380Nm on tap. Despite the extra grunt, Isuzu says the newcomer is more fuel-efficient than the current model.
Drive is via a five-speed manual transmission, or a new five-speed automatic.
Isuzu says the new D-MAX is safer with ESC, ABS anti-lock brakes and the addition of side and curtain airbags.
