Stand-by for Alfa Romeo to announce its first SUV – a rival for the likes of Audi Q5 and BMW X3.
That’s the word on both sides of the Atlantic ocean as the iconic Fiat brand has returned to North America with the gorgeous 4C sports car.
Success is not negotiable under Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne and we’ve already heard of the rear-wheel-drive models Alfa has under development to take-on Mercedes-Benz C-Class and E-Class and BMW’s 3-Series and 5-Series.
But especially in North America, Alfa knows it needs an SUV – and quickly.
And that’s good news for Australian sports/luxury SUV buyers too.
Better still, European reports suggest Alfa Romeo’s upcoming SUV lineup will be headed by a 373kW V6 Quadrifoglio model to compete with ‘AMG’ and ‘M’ badged versions of the German rivals.
Where do we sign-up to order one of those?
