Lexus has confirmed its most powerful engine – a 351kW version of the naturally-aspirated V8 – will power the all-new RC F Coupe which launches early next year.
The 32-valve 5.0-litre V8 for the Lexus RC F Coupe red-lines at 7300rpm and – thanks to all-new cylinder heads and lighter internals – is 40kg lighter than the previous version.
Of technical interest, the V8 switches between Atkinson and Otto cycles depending on load – maximizing performance and minimizing fuel consumption.
Lexus says the RC F borrows much from the awesome LFA Supercar and will become the Japanese giants performance hero when it arrives early next year.
