www.carshowroom.com.au will be putting the new Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) through its paces at the Phillip Island circuit in a couple of weeks, but ahead of that pricing and specification details have been released.
We’re talking $47,400 for the manual or $49,950 for the six-speed Steptronic.
Mini says its halo model boasts significant extra specification over its predecessor including 18-inch light alloy wheels, Dynamic Damper Control, JCW sports seats, Professional navigation with an 8.8-inch split screen colour monitor and touchpad and Brembo brakes.
Power comes from the turbocharged 2.0-litre claimed to be the most powerful engine fitted to a series production Mini with 170kW/320Nm delivering zero to 100km/h in 6.3 seconds.
Sounds like a great set-up for the swoops and curves of Phillip Island – fingers crossed for the weather in a couple of weeks.
