Mercedes-Benz Australia dealers are now taking orders for the stunning all-new GLE Coupe with local deliveries timed to start in September.
All three models are all-wheel-drive and prices start at $121,900 for the 350d.
The standout is the high-performance Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S with the 430kW/760Nm 5.5-litre V8 driving through AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-tronic transmission and delivering zero to 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds.
As you would expect, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S boasts extensive kit including the AMG Driver’s Package, AMG Performance Exhaust, Air-Balance Package, Digital TV tuner and exclusive AMG Nappa leather seats with heating and ventilation for the fronts.
The mid-range GLE 450 AMG looks to be a great buy. Powered by the 270kW/520Nm bi-turbo six-cylinder engine the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG sits on 22-inch AMG alloy wheels and covers zero to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds.
And with a panoramic sliding roof and AMG Line Nappa leather interior, the GLE 450 AMG is equipped just as we know Benz and AMG can.
Entry-level GLE 350d is also a six-cylinder powerplant and delivers 190kW/620Nm via the new nine-speed 9G-tronic automatic transmission.
Plenty of goodies too for the GLE 350d including AMG body enhancements, Nappa leather upholstery with heated AMG Line sports front seats and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
The handsomely-styled five-seater also debuts the segment’s first fully electronic extending/retracting trailer coupling which includes ESP trailer stabilization.
The full range is:
| 350d | $121,900 |
| 450 AMG | $141,900 |
| 63 S | $198,900 |
