Kia has released these first official pics of the all-new Sorento SUV which will debut in Korea later this month and at the Paris Motor Show in October.
While the all-new model maintains Sorento’s hallmark long bonnet and wide D-pillars, there are some cues from the Kia Cross GT concept car and it is longer, lower and wider than the previous second-generation model.
Styling was a collaboration between the Kia studios in Namyang, Korea, Frankfurt, Germany and the North American operation in Irvine, California.
Length is up by 95mm to 4780mm, height is down by 15mm to 1685mm and the wheelbase is 80mm longer at 2780mm (extra space for all three seating rows inside).
The lower roofline, higher beltline and rounded shoulders are in keeping with contemporary SUV styling and the front sees an upright version of Kia’s ‘tiger-nose’ grille.
Kia Australia is some way from confirming local details and prices but we know the current Sorento is a great SUV so the all-new model will be worth the wait.
