This is the last member of Ford’s updated ranger lineup – the range-topping Wildtrak.
Orange is again the standout colour – this time added to the interior with ‘Pride Orange’ seat highlight material and also some trim highlights.
On the styling front the updated Ford Ranger Wildtrak scores ‘liquid metallic’ for the grille, side mirrors, door handles, side air gills bed rails and tail-lights.
Up-front are new rectangular fog light, the rear sees a new sports bar and underneath are new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Ford Ranger Wildtrak picks-up the SYNC2 infotainment system which was added to the rest of the range.
And befitting the range-topping derivative, technology ramps-up with adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist amongst a raft of driver aids.
No changes under the bonnet with Ford Ranger Wildtrak continuing with the excellent 137kW/470Nm 3.2-litre five-cylinder Duratorg diesel – one of our favourite engines.
We’ll see the updated Ford ranger lineup locally later this year – along with the Ranger-based Everest SUV which www.carshowroom.com.au will be driving in Thailand in a few weeks so keep looking for our drive impressions.
