It’s official, the long-awaited all-new Ford Mustang will start at $44,990 when it arrives on Australian shores later this year.
That price is for the Mustang fastback powered by the 233kW/432Nm turbocharged 2.3-litre GTDi EcoBoost engine driving through a six-speed Getrag manual transmission.
Sure to be the biggest seller, the V8-powered Ford Mustang Fastback with the 303kW/525Nm 5.0-litre V8 engine and automatic transmission is priced at $57,490.
The range-topping V8 Ford Mustang Convertible (automatic only) is stickered at $63,990.
Across the Ford Mustang range, specifications are impressive – standard features include a limited slip differential, rear diffuser, HID headlights, LED tail-lights, satellite navigation, leather seats (fronts heated), reversing camera and a nine-speaker infotainment system with SYNC2 and a eight-inch colour touchscreen.
The Ford Mustang V8 adds larger Brembo font brakes and 19 x 9-inch alloy front wheels and 19 x 9.5-inch rears.
Here’s how the range looks:
The world’s most-liked vehicle on Facebook, Mustang has made thousands of appearances in film, television, music and video games.
