The stunners keep coming from Audi – latest to arrive is updated R8 supercar, headed by the 404kW/540Nm V10 R8 Plus which has the honour of being the fastest Audi Australia has seen.
That hand-built 5.2-litre V10 powers the Audi R8 Plus from zero to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
The extraordinary R8 range-topper is available in an exclusive new paint colour – ‘Matte Sepang Blue’ – and features ceramic brakes, Audi Exclusive sports bucket seats, abundant Nappa leather and an Alcantara headlining, titanium-finish 5-twon spoke 19-inch alloy wheels and a unique flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle-shifters for the gearbox.
That transmission is new for all R8 models – the latest twin-clutch seven-speed S tronic which measures less than 60cms in length.
Other updates include re-designed LED headlights with integrated static turning lights while the rear sees clever LED indicator lights with a dynamic display at the bottom edge so the light ‘moves’ towards the outside (the direction in which you’re turning), a new single-frame front grille and revised diffusers front and rear for better aerodynamics.
