The Toyota Tarago V6 is an excellent family car. From a family of 6 people the Tarago has everything anyone wants in a people mover. The power of its 3.5 V6 engine is breathtaking, not only will it suprise almost any car with simular power but its the reaction which really is great.
I gave a SS 5.7L Statesman Caprice a run off the lights and the Toyota was in front at 70km/h. The only thing which is a disappointment is the rev reduction when it changes into 2nd gear, it needs to have a closer ratio between first and second gears.
Another slightly disappointing factor is that the traction control is very intrusive our of corners and off stand-still blasts. Due to the fact that Toyota doesnt fit a traction control off button, there is a small technique which i learnt from wheels to manually turn it off. It goes:
Take the foot brake off
Start the car
Put footbrake on
Hit brake twice
Taske footbrake off
Hold brake on while you put footbrake on, then off, then on, then off
Release brake
Put footbrake on
Hit brake twice
Now a small orange light which shows a car on a slippery road will appear on the dash panel telling you that its fully off, to turn back on, simple turn the car off then back on
And with the amount of power the tarago has you can create plenty of smoke.
