Toyota will debut a fire breathing Yaris at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week. Inspired by the company's Le Mans racing program the Yaris Hybrid-R concept is impressive.
The Yaris Hybrid-R concept has been developed to showcase the future hybrid technology, whilst achieving maximum performance and driving pleasure.
The idea is similar to the Jaguar CX75, powered by a highly tuned 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engine plus additional two powerful electric motors to provide total output of 313kW (420hp).
The front wheels are powered by a direct-injection turbo producing 224kW (300hp) of power and 420Nm of torque to drive the front wheels. Each rear wheel has a 45kW (60hp) electric motor, providing an "intelligent" electric four-wheel drive capability
