Good news for Volvo fans with word the Swedish giant’s Polestar Performance Division will unveil a ‘hardcore’ version of its S60 Polestar model at next weekend’s round of Sweden’s TTA – Racing Elite League motorsport series.
The current S60 Polestar model sold in Australia along with C30 is a collaboration between Volvo Car Australia and Polestar and following the huge interest in this vehicle, Polestar was inspired to develop the even racier version it will debut next weekend.
Hopes are interest in the prototype will be sufficient to green-light a production run.
“The performance concept road car is a spin-off of our work evaluating and developing the S60 for racing,” explained Polestar chief Hans Baath. “Whether there will be more cars built is an open question. First of all we want to get feedback on this first prototype.
