Volvo has certainly made an impactful start to V8 Supercar racing and to celebrate the Swedish brand goes into the new season with two 2015 model year ‘Sprint Edition’ models.
Opening the batting is the S60 T4 Sprint Edition which is priced at $54,888 ‘Driveaway’.
Underneath is a sports chassis and 19-inch Bor Black Diamond Cut alloy wheels while styling enhancements include R-Design sports front seats and a rear spoiler.
Volvo’s other ‘Sprint Edition’ model is the V40 T4 Sprint Edition which is stickered at $46,888 ‘Driveaway’.
In this case there’s sports suspension and 18-inch Midir Black Diamond Cut alloy wheels plus a rear spoiler and tinted rear glass.
Volvo says that’s around $4,000 worth of extra goodies.
Only 100 each of the Volvo Sprint Edition models will be produced.
So it’s “Grattis” (that’s Swedish for ‘congratulations’) to Volvo for a successful first year in V8 Supercars and here’s hoping the 200 ‘Sprint Edition’ models move out of the showrooms just as fast as the racers.
