Volvo’s excellent XC70 luxury SUV goes high-performance with the launch of the T6 model as part of running changes for the 2013 model year.
Powered by Volvo’s 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder petrol engine, the new XC60 T6 joins the existing 3.2 and D5 models to boost the highly-acclaimed luxury SUV lineup.
Maximum power is 224kW at 5600rpm and peak torque of 440Nm is delivered between 2100-4200rpm. Fuel economy is rated at 10.5l/100kms.
In other changes for the 2013 model year Volvo XC70, the ground-breaking City safety collision avoidance technology has been uprated and now operates up to 50km/h, a new camera system has been employed, headlights get active high beam plus tunnel detection and Road Sign Information RSI has been added to the options list (the latter displays speed limits and other road sign information on the instrument panel).
