Volvo’s excellent S60 sedan and V60 sports wagon shape-up even better for 2012 with a host of added features highlighted by new diesel and petrol engines.
The new engines are the D3, Volvo’s 120kW/ 400Nm five-cylinder turbo-diesel and the T4, a 132kW/240Nm, 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol powerplant. T4 models employ the six-speed PowerShift dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Volvo has maintained the 177kW/320Nm, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged T5 engine and the high-performance 224kW/440Nm, 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbocharged T6.
All Volvo S60 and V60 models for 2102 gain the high-performance Multimedia system with a seven-inch screen and T5 R-Design add Blind Spot Information Syste, Active bending Lghts and the Volvo Navigation System.
The new T4 and D3 models are highly equipped with the usual Volvo features including power driver’s seat, rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensirs, 17-inch alloy wheels, Volvo City Safety and Bluetooth audio streaming.
Amongst the extras for all 2012 models are Volvo Guard Alarm, keyless stars, Blind Spot Information Ssystem and Active Bending Lghts. V60 gains the two-stage in-built chold booster seats in the two outer positions of the rear seat and T5 R-Design models score new-design 18-inch alloy wheels.
Volvo excellent Teknik Pack adds power adjustment for the passengers’ seat, Volvo Navigation System, headlight washers, Blind Spot Information System, Active Bending Lights and ‘watch dial’ stylefor the instruments.
T6 Teknik and R-Design models go further with a rear parking camera and Adaptive Cruise Control with Full Auto Brake plus Pedestrian detection and Queue Assist.
