At last Volkswagen has confirmed the Scirocco R – some say the world’s best sports coupe – is heading downunder for launch next year. So those who have been lobbying should now move to order a Scirocco from their nearest Volkswagen dealer.
Power comes from Volkswagen’s 2.0-litre TSI engine with 188kW/330Nm.
With Adaptive Chassis Control, extended electronic differential lock and a sports chassis tune, the Volkswagen Scirocco R has scooped multiple international awards – driving dynamics are the best-of-the-best they say.
Same with the looks inside and out – some of Volkswagen’s best work. Standard 19-inch alloy wheels run 235/35 tyres and cover 17-inch brake discs with glossy black-painted callipers.
