Toyota Hi-Lux, Australia’s dominant best-selling ute, has scored some upgrades.
The changes are standard on SR5 double-cab turbo-diesel 4x4 and option packs for the SR double-cab petrol and diesel 4x4.
For other models, Toyota has reduced prices on optional safety equipment – for example the optional anti-lock brakes for 4x2 and 4x4 models now cost just $400 (down from $800).
The HiLux SR5 double-cab turbo-diesel 4X4 gains stability and traction control and the ABS anti-lock brakes have been boosted with brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution. Wheels have swapped to 17-inch alloys.
Prices remain unchanged - $53,690 (manual) and $55,690 (automatic).
For SR models, the optional safety pack gains sports style front seats fitted with side airbags as well as curtain-shield airbags.
