We’ve long been fans of Infiniti’s Q70 premium mid-size sedan.
We liked the pin-sharp driving dynamics but apparently we were in the minority because a major factor in the 2016 model update is a suspension re-tune for a more compliant/refined ride.
Infiniti has a Q70 coming our way in the next couple of weeks so we’ll get back to you on that one.
Styling changes aren’t massive – new bumpers front and rear, a revised bootlid and LED lights front and rear.
On the technology front, the range-topping S Premium and GT Premium score a 360-degree camera system, adaptive headlights, autonomous emergency barking, lane departure warning, blind spot detection and collision warning.
And the hybrid-powered GT model goes further with handsome 19-inch alloy wheels and a 10-speaker Bose audio system.
But perhaps the best news of all is the price – it hasn’t changed and makes the rival Lexus GS (from $75,000) look a bit pricey.
The full range is:
| GT (3.7-litre V6) | $68,900 |
| S (3.7-litre V6) | $78,900 |
| GT Premium (3.5-litre V6 Hybrid) | $82,900 |
