A much cleaner front-end design is the obvious change in Ford’s updated Focus small car which debuts next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Inside the changes provide a simpler look highlighted by a new three-spoke steering wheel.
On the technical front, Ford says the latest Focus adds ‘Perpendicular Parking’ to the Park Assist systems’ repertoire (as well as Cross Traffic Alert), ‘SYNC2’ infotainment, Pre-Collision Assist and improvements to the Voice Command system. There’s also Ford’s ‘MyKey’ system which allows you to program an new key for the car with variable calibration (for example restricted top speed).
European customers can select from Ford’s new 110kW and 132Nm 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engines, the 73kW/88Nm three-cylinder or the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel in both 70kW and 88kW versions.
Expect the updated Ford Focus to arrive in Australia later this year.
