There’s a twist to Toyota’s updated Corolla rang which hits showrooms next month.
As seen at the Geneva and New York Motor Shows, Australia’s best-selling car gets a bolder new look with two distinct versions.
Styling for the Toyota Corolla Ascent and Ascent Sport models will be based on the European Auris while sporty SX and ZR grades gain a more aggressive design from North American Scion iM.
The Auris brings to Corolla a more prominent front bumper and full width lower grille plus new headlights clusters and a larger Toyota badge encased in chrome ‘wings’.
From the Scion iM, local Toyota Corolla SX and ZR models adopt an aerodynamic bodykit with piano-black honeycomb mesh upper grille and other highlights.
“IN Australia, we can draw on the global strength of Toyota to offer compelling designs for cars like Corolla that stand out in the market and offer maximum appeal to buyers who have different tastes,” revealed Toyota Australia chief Tony Cramb.
