Volkswagen had three reasons to smile following announcement of Britain’s Auto Express New Car Awards 2011.
For the third consecutive year the Volkswagen Golf was named ‘Best Compact family Car’ and the Volkswagen Golf GTI was named ‘Best Hot Hatch’.
And Volskwagen’s ‘BlueMotion’ eco car range (BlueMotion Gold now on-sale in Australia) was awarded the inaugural ‘Green Award’.
Chris Craft of Volkswagen UK said: “We’re delighted that the Golf has retained these coveted titles and especially proud to have won the Green Award for our BlueMotion range, which shows that it is possible to offer practical real-world fuel economy benefits without compromising on practicality, affordability, quality, safety or comfort.”
