If you receive an email or SMS message advising you have won money and a new Toyota, don’t respond as there appears to be a scam working.
Toyota has received hundreds of enquiries from concerned members of the public who have been contacted electronically from the likes of ‘Toyota Flood Relief Fund’, Toyota International Lotto’, ‘Toyota Car Promotions’.
To report scams, consumers should contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s SCAMwatch website at www.scamwatch.gov.au.
