A G-Wagen from the East, perhaps.
Toyota’s got something up its sleeves for the upcoming LA autoshow, with a teaser for a ‘Future Toyota Adventure Concept’ dropped earlier this week previewing… something to do with off-roading. We have to be a tad ambiguous because from this angle, we’re really not all that sure what it is.
It could be a ute, but it’s most probably an SUV, given that Toyota sells more of those than utes in the North American market. We mention that focus because the FT-AC has been designed and engineered specifically for the US in mind, with no immediate intention for the Adventure Concept to be brought to Europe in the future.
There isn’t much information to be gleaned from the sole teaser image, though a generous smattering of LEDs is evident. There are LEDs below the headlights, and some above the windscreen, and wide wheel arches are evident even from this darkened shot. It’s possible, perhaps, that this could be an all-terrain vehicle in the similar vein as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, or at least that’s what AutoExpress reckons.
The ‘Future Toyota Adventure Concept’ will be shown off at the upcoming LA Autoshow at the end of the month, alongside a brand-new Lexus RX-L, a 3-row 7-seater variant of the RX SUV, which they have also teased in a darkened shot. You can read more about that here.
