Toyota’s ME.WE Electric Concept Is Reconfigurable

We’re surprised this ‘interchangeable’ concept car has not been done before: Toyota has partnered with French industrial designer Jean-Marie Massaud to create the ME.WE concept which isfour cars in one.

The ‘no-frills’ industrial-looking all-electric Toyota can be a small city car, off-roader, ute or convertible.

It runs a tubular aluminium structure, polypropylene body panels and bamboo is used for the floor and dashboard.

Basic polypropylene bench seats can be removed and used outdoors when camping or at sporting events.

About the same size as the Toyota Yaris, the ME.WE provides selectable 2WD or AWD and weighs just 750kgs.

Just don’t take it to China – those hungry Panda Bears might eat your floor and dashboard when parked in the bush!
