A good sign of recovery in earthquake and tsunami ravaged Japan with Toyota announcing resumption of production.
Production at the Japanese giant’s Tsutsumi, Kyushu and Sagamihara plants has already restarted and all plants will operate at 50 per cent capacity until April 27 when Japan’s Spring Holiday commences.
At this stage Toyota plans to regain full production at all Japanese plants following the holiday on 9 May.
Toyota Australia is continuing to monitor supply of cars and components from Japan.
