In its 60th anniversary year, total Australian sales of Toyota’s legendary LandCruiser SUV have passed 750,000.
Sixty years is a long time for an automotive nameplate and in fact some of the first Toyota LandCruisers saw duty as workhorse vehicles during the construction of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme.
These days Australia is the largest single market for Toyota’s massive SUV.
Currently available is a limited edition’60th Anniversary’ LandCruiser model priced from $79,990. Based on the 200 Series GXL model, the ‘60th Anniversary’ Limited Edition variant gains more than $5,000 worth of extra including a leather interior, Bluetooth-compatible touch-screen satellite navigation and Toyota’s Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS).
